Has anyone been watching the TV show Rachel Vs. Guy? The last two people on Guys side is some member of a boy band and Coolio.. yeah, the ghetto rapper.

For his meal last Sunday he makes "Fork Steak" and "Ghetalian Bread" (I think thats what he called it). Ghetto Italian Bread.

I dont know what made me think listening to him was a good idea.

The first thing you will notice is that the recipe sounds disgusting and making it looks disgusting. Read the ingredients.

Heres a picture of what it looks like (not my picture):

Not bad looking. As for taste it cant be that bad I figured. My Aunt made this recipe, which is a dip, but similar ingredients:

That was actually pretty tasty and got good reviews, but crap I forgot about all that mayo giving me an upset stomach.

Coolios recipe was very salty.. I had used garlic paste, which has other things in it, salt being one of them. Even if I had used fresh garlic like the recipe calls for, I think Id still find it too salty. Maybe unsalted butter would be a bit better?

The amount of stuff this recipe makes is too much. I have FOUR loaves of french bread cause they were only $1.99 and even if I used them all Id still have a lot of the topping left over.

So, here I sit.. 11:37pm.. I ate many hours ago, already visited the bathroom, but my stomach is upset. :(

The bread was tasty indeed, but if I make it again it will be with a lot less mayo and probably less butter as well. I also probably wouldnt eat as much.

I cant blame Coolio entirely. His Mom taught him the recipe and the judges liked it.

1 loaf of french bread 18 ounces of mayo 1 stick of butter 1/2 cup crushed garlic hand full of cheddar cheese or jack cheese

There might have been a drop or two of hot sauce, but Im not sure. I see two different recipes almost the same on the web.

Slice french bread in half. Melt butter. Combine with other ingredients. Apply liberally to bread. Bake in oven until top is golden and crispy.
